Established in Florence, Italy during the middle of the 1800s, Tesi began as a workshop with a specialization in straw hats and braids. From there, it expanded into a broader range of materials and styles, swiftly gaining recognition and worldwide renown in the hat-making world by the beginning of the 20th century. To this day, it remains a family-owned entity with the Tesi family now into its sixth generation of hat-making with Giacomo Tesi along with Stella and Sofia, continuing on the legacy of making high quality and beautiful hats year after year for ladies and gentlemen alike!
With such a rich history that has spanned through the years, Tesi hats are grounded in tradition, but aren't afraid to test and push boundaries, and that playfulness and eye for detail is one of the many reasons we truly love their hats here at Hats in the Belfry.
