Even if you're not a self-professed hat connoisseur, odds are you have heard of the name Borsalino.

There's no denying the enduring legacy that has carried the Italian-based manufacturer through the years, testament to the quality of their luxuriously handcrafted hats since their founding in 1857 in Alessandria, Italy. In fact, it takes 50+ manual steps, and seven weeks of work to craft even just one their beloved fur felt hats! A production tradition handed down thrown the generations, and it really shows when you are able to hold one of these in your hands. 

Needless to say, we're excited to offer an online-exclusive collection of some of their sleek silhouettes! Let's take a look! 

Classic Fedoras

The quintessential fur felt fedora is likely what one imagines when thinking of Borsalino, and we have selected two this year to offer you, starting with the Alessandria Classic Medium Brim Fedora.

It sports a 4" crown and raw edged 2 1/2" brim, paired with its hand-dyed matching band, creating a fairly no-fuss standard of its peers with a very broad spectrum to be had in styling it either for a day out or dressed for an event. Its center dent crown creates a leaner profile and boasts a lining as well as a leather inner band for added comfort during wear.  

For those that want a fedora with a bit more hattitude, may we suggest the Alessandria Classic Wide Brim Fedora? Pushing to 2 3/4" in its raw edged brim, it's a hat that is all about sleek, sharp lines, and if you prefer slightly shorter crowns in contrast, it has a comfortable tear drop crown sitting at just 3 3/4" tall. Tear drop crowns read as a slightly wider fit than a center dent as is sported by its medium brim counterpart, so keep that in mind when you're debating between the two! Like the the medium brim fedora, it comes fully lined with a leather inner band. Ladies and gentleman alike are sure to cut a dramatic figure with their winter coats donning this fedora!

Standard Safari

Lastly, we rounded out our collection this year with a solid safari brim.

For those that want the quality of a Borsalino but prefer a style meant to be more readily worn everyday in its immediately more casual aesthetic, the Alessandria Classic Safari delivers perfectly.

With its black fur felt body and brown leather band, it covers a lot of wardrobe bases, making it a great grab-and-go option for anyone! One could almost say it's an interesting combination of its peers, sporting the shorter crown of the wide brim fedora, but also keeping the slightly trimmed back 2 1/2" brim like the medium brim fedora, so its sloped safari shape doesn't get overwhelming when worn. 

Being 100% fur felt, all three hats are naturally resistant to light rain and snow, and are sure to keep you comfortable from fall to early spring, no matter how you end up styling them.
