We travel to Italy twice each year to work directly with partners like Albano, and those visits are an important part of how Belfry Italia is created. We sit down together to review fabrics, colors, patterns, textures, shapes, fits, linings, and finishing details. Instead of simply selecting finished caps from a catalog, we participate in developing what comes next—exploring new materials, adjusting proportions, introducing seasonal colors, and refining styles specifically for the Belfry customer.

Materials are an especially important part of our work with Albano. Their access to premium fabrics and yarns gives us the opportunity to explore different weights, textures, colors, and patterns and then determine which material works best with each silhouette. Albano's entire production process is managed in Italy at its operation near Naples, giving the company close control over construction, consistency, finishing, and quality. Its approach also includes solar-powered production, local suppliers, eco-friendly packaging, and recycled materials in selected collections.

For us, Made in Italy is the beginning of the story—not the end. What makes Belfry Italia different is knowing who makes our caps, understanding where and how they're made, and having a hand in what they become. Albano brings the craftsmanship of a family immersed in Italian hatmaking since 1993; we bring decades of Belfry experience and the feedback of our customers. Together, we create caps specifically for Belfry—better materials, thoughtful colors, refined fits, and distinctive designs. Created at the Source. Crafted in Italy. Exclusive to Belfry.
